Jay Z Love Child!

Super star rapper Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce Knowles, are all smiles now, following the birth of their first child, Blue Ivy, but it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Around the time that Beyonce announced that she was expecting, rumors of a Jay Z love child resurfaced.

The love child claim, that the 99 Problems star fathered Trinidadian model Shenelle Scott’s 9 year old son, appeared in Star magazine and was made by Jerard Andrews, whose son Malik Sayeed proved not to be the father following a DNA test. The rapper is said to have stayed in contact with the child, as well as giving Shenelle an alleged $1 million dollars to keep quiet about it. Jerald claimed that Jay Z provided child support and that Shenelle used the hush money to buy a house in Trinidad.

The rumors had been floating around since 2007, but Beyonce’s pregnancy announcement brought the story back into the public eye.

However, the allegation has since been retracted and Andrews now claims that he has no knowledge of a DNA test, nor has he spoken to Shenelle or his son concerning the matter. When the Jay Z love child story first broke in 2007, he spoke about it, denying the allegation, saying that it was a classic example of child exploitation.

“There is no truth to these ridiculous rumors. People should be ashamed of using this kind of story and exploiting a child for publicity and ratings.” said the star.

Since the birth of Blue Ivy, Jigga has hit the studio to record a new song, called Glory, dedicated to his daughter, in which he reveals that his wife, Beyonce, suffered a miscarriage. The revelation has sparked a debate, with some saying the song empowers women and gives them hope for the future, while others have said that the tragedy should have remained personal.
